What this unlocks
- Rascacoon — the island of the Rascoohan, reached from Venore by the shortcut once you have been there.2198
- The Exotic Cave — the cave below Issavi that leads to the island, home to Exotic Cave Spiders, Exotic Bats and Pirats.91
- The Wreckoning — the Pirats’ hideout, reached by sailing with Captain Jack Rat after Tentugly’s Head. It is the hunting area for Pirat Scoundrels, Bombardiers, Cutthroats and Mates.213
Requirements at a glance
- Level
- NonePremium
There is no hard level gate in the game. 130+ is enough to get to Rascacoon and work the island missions; for Tentugly’s Head and Ratmiral Blackwhiskers bring a team at 250 or so. The Wreckoning hunting area itself is advertised from level 150.
- Team
- Needs a team
The raids, the memory test, the Stealth Mission and Hidden Treasure’s errands can all be done alone. The Supply Mission is best with a full team of 5, and Tentugly’s Head, Ratmiral Blackwhiskers and The Trekkie’s Journey each take up to 5 players, so the second half of the quest needs a team.
- Quests
- No other quest is required.2
- Bring
- A pick (or a Multi-Tool / knife). It turns stones into catapult ammunition during the ship raids.198
- A Magical Water Orb and a Greenish Flintstone. Eustacio gives both for free — ask him about the `orb` and the `flintstone`. They can be collected again every 30 minutes.219
- A rope and a shovel, plus a physical-damage weapon. The tunnel to Rascacoon has a spider web that only a melee weapon will cut, and several holes to climb out of.19
- A Fire Bug is optional.1
- The Cheesy Key, dropped the first time you defeat Tentugly’s Head. Keep it in your backpack — the Hidden Treasure chest needs it.21
Before you start
The gotchas and shortcuts that save the most time — worth two minutes before you set off.
- There are two quest lines: the main one (Pirat raids → Rascacoon → Tentugly’s Head → Ratmiral Blackwhiskers) and Hidden Treasure, an optional treasure hunt. You can start Hidden Treasure early, but it needs the 1,500 raid points for one errand and a Cheesy Key from Tentugly’s Head to finish, so it is easiest to do it alongside the main line.21
- The Spyrat raid ends after 60 kills, not 50. Two of the guides we read say 50; both wikis, TibiaQA and a Spanish guide agree on 60, and 60 × 5 points matches the 300-point maximum the other two raid types also give.217894
- The five raid towns are Krailos, Thais, Darashia, Port Hope and Liberty Bay. One wiki lists Tiquanda instead of Port Hope in its text; the other wiki and two guides say Port Hope, on the coast north-west of the town.2198
- Each raid is worth up to 300 points, so 1,500 points is about five full raids. Points are per action — each Pirat or Spyrat you hit, each catapult step — and you do not need to deal the most damage.2147
- The easiest way to farm raids: stand at Eustacio and say `location` until a raid starts. When it ends, an orange message tells everyone nearby, and the next raid begins 30 minutes later — set a 29-minute timer and be back at Eustacio. On a busy world, favour the Spyrat and Pirat raids; the catapult raid is hard to get a turn at.521
- The island missions use trust points (1,200 needed). The three 200-point missions have a 20-hour cooldown, so you will not get there in one sitting. Do all of them every day, and run the 2-hour memory test between them.217
- When you tell Tik’hi Tak’he you want to advance, 1,200 trust points are spent and you get a permanent pass to the ship teleporter. Trust points keep accumulating afterwards — every Ratmiral kill gives 100 — but you do not have to earn the 1,200 again to keep your pass.217
- The Journey is gated on Hidden Treasure. Finish every errand up to and including Queso’s cell in Thais before you try it; the teleporter does nothing for you until then. Bring a Cheesy Key too, or the final chest will not give you the figurine.21
- Some hazards on the Journey are described with different numbers in different guides (how much a Sea Serpent wave hits for, how much a Termite bite takes off the raft). The safe reading is the same either way: dodge the waves and kill Termites fast, especially at the mast.21
- The memory-test patterns and the Stealth Mission route are maps, not text, and are not reproduced here. They never change, so study them once on the wiki pages in the Sources list below.216
Part 1: Eustacio and the Pirat raids
Eustacio wants the Pirats weakened before he shares what he knows. You prove yourself by fighting raids on the coasts of five towns until you hold 1,500 points.
- 1Travel to Venore. Eustacio is on the ground floor of the harbour, near the citizenship NPC — go south from the boat and down one floor. Say `hi`, `mission`, `yes`.219
- 2Ask him for the `flintstone` and the `orb`. You can ask again every 30 minutes, so never worry about running out.218
- 3Say `location` to learn where the current raid is. If nothing is active he says his agents have not seen anything yet. Say `status` at any time to check your points.2184
- 4Raids appear in Krailos (east), Thais (east, just beside the Bloodhall guildhall), Darashia (east), Port Hope (north-west) and Liberty Bay (north). Eustacio names only the town. There is one raid at a time, it does not show on the Cyclopedia map, and it stays until it is finished.2198
- 5Spyrat raid — 5 points per Spyrat, 60 kills to finish. The Spyrats are in the water by the shore. Use the Magical Water Orb on the water to make a platform under it, then step onto it and repeat tile by tile toward them. The orb only affects the tiles next to you, so start from land.2187
- 6Pirat land invasion — 3 points per Pirat, 100 kills to finish. Scoundrels, Mates, Cutthroats and Bombardiers land on the shore. Area spells like Avalanche are the quickest way to touch many at once.2159
- 7Ship attack — 6 points per shot, 50 shots to finish. Use the pick on a grey stone near the catapults to make a Ballistic Boulder, use the boulder on a catapult (2 points), light it with the Greenish Flintstone (2 points), then use the catapult to fire (2 points).2184
- 8A catapult has a short cooldown after firing, but you can reload and ignite straight away. If you can, work two or three catapults at once.28
- 9When a raid is finished you see an orange message such as The city is safe now, or a line about the pirats fleeing or the ship being gone. A new raid starts 30 minutes after the previous one ends.215
- 10Keep going until `status` shows 1,500 points. Eustacio then tells you about a secret passage near the temple in Issavi. Killing 1,000 Pirats in his raids also earns the Pied Piper achievement.219
Part 2: Reaching Rascacoon
The passage runs through the Exotic Cave under Issavi. It has real monsters in it, so go with a weapon, rope and a way out.
- 1Go to Issavi, north of the depot, to the small shell on the beach next to the temple. Use the shell to drop into the cave.2198
- 2Do not walk into the pit-fall hole just north of the temple. It drops you among Burning Gladiators, which kill a level 100 mage very quickly. The tunnel entrance is the shell, not that hole.21
- 3The cave holds Exotic Cave Spiders, Exotic Bats and Pirat Bombardiers, Cutthroats and Scoundrels. Go north, down the hole marked as the access to Rascacoon, and north again on the next floor into a Pirat hideout.19
- 4On that floor there are two ways round. A spider web blocks the right-hand route — cut it with a melee weapon, go up the stairs, and you come out on the first underground floor on the far side.9
- 5From there go north and climb the hole to the surface (rope, spell or knife). Welcome to Rascacoon.9
- 6Walk west to Tik’hi Tak’he and say `hi`, `mission`, `yes`. He explains that trust is earned through tasks, and your points are counted when you ask him about `trust points`.21
- 7Shortcut. Once you have met him you can use the small boat on the deck where you arrived to sail back to Venore. To return, say `hi`, `shortcut`, `yes` to Eustacio.2189
Part 3: Trust points on the island
You need 1,200 trust points. The four island missions give them, and the Journey only opens after Hidden Treasure (see below).
- 1Memory Test (Tik’hi Tak’he) — up to 50 points, every 2 hours. Go into the big room inside the central mountain; it locks a few seconds after you enter. A pattern of shells and starfish appears in the middle, then vanishes, and several patterns appear around the edge. Stand beside the one you saw.21
- 2A correct round gives 5 points and you may win up to 10 in a row (50 points), then you are put out. A wrong round puts you out immediately. The set of patterns and their places never change.21
- 3To remember a pattern, learn only two of the three object types — for example the diagonal of three, and the diagonal of two. That is enough to tell the patterns apart. Start walking toward your guess while the middle pattern is still showing, so you can correct it.26
- 4Supply Mission (Om’Wake Naha, just north of Tik’hi Tak’he) — 200 points, 20-hour cooldown. Enter the teleport next to him; a lever has places for 5 players, and a full team is recommended.21
- 5Open the chest beside the entrance and take the Rat Revealer. Push the cheese to the trapdoor in the middle while the rats try to eat it. Use the Revealer on a rat to make it vulnerable, or lure rats over the stone piles to make them disappear. Two players push the cheese and the rest handle the rats; your score is shown under your name.2
- 6Stealth Mission (Eustacio’s Spy Rat, inside the Pirat cave) — 200 points, 20-hour cooldown. Ask the Spy Rat about `advantage`, then enter the teleport. You may take two other players, but it does not make it easier.21
- 7You have 5 minutes to cross a room without being seen. Stepping on a tile next to a Pirat Guard or Patrol kicks you out. Guards stand still; Patrols walk a fixed route, so watch them. You may only pass a tower guard while its wall lamp is off, and the lamps flicker just before they change. Some spots need you to levitate up or down.2
- 8The Trekkie’s Journey (Captain Coohan) — 200 points, 20-hour cooldown. It is covered in its own section below, because it only opens after Hidden Treasure.21
- 9When you have 1,200 points, say `trust points` to Tik’hi Tak’he. He offers to spend them on a permanent enchantment that turns you into a Pirat for 15 minutes each time you use the ship teleporter. Say `yes` to advance.21
Part 4: Tentugly’s Head and The Wreckoning
The teleporter in the south-east of the island takes you to Captain Jack Rat’s ship. Bring a team of up to 5.
- 1Go through the ship teleporter in the south-east of the island and up one floor to talk to Captain Jack Rat. He offers a trip to the Pirats’ hideout and warns of the sea monster on the way. Open the sealed door and pull the lever when the team is ready.21
- 2You get 8 minutes to beat Tentugly’s Head before you are thrown out of the fight.2
- 3The Head sits in the middle of the ship with several Servants of Tentugly around. Ignore the servants or kill them quickly, and put everything on the Head until it retreats.21
- 4Tentacles then come up around the ship, on the lower deck and the upper deck. Each tile of a tentacle is its own health bar. Kill them tile by tile until they let go. Clear the lower deck first, then go up the stairs in the south-east corner for the rest.21
- 5Do not stand on a spot where a tentacle is already sticking out — that is where more will spawn, and you can be sent back to the temple with a message about strange events.2
- 6When all the tentacles are dead the Head comes back. Finish it. The first time you do, you get the Krakoloss mount, the Release the Kraken achievement and a Cheesy Key.21
- 7After the fight, a few moments in the room (or the teleport on its left) takes you to The Wreckoning, and you have access to it for good. To come back later from Rascacoon, say `hi`, `sail`, `safe`, `yes` to Captain Jack Rat, who stands just north of the Tentugly lever.21
Part 5: Ratmiral Blackwhiskers
The last fight is in four stages. Three minibosses appear in turn and vanish before they die; in the final stage all of them return to help the boss.
- 1From The Wreckoning, take the teleport to the lever room of Ratmiral Blackwhiskers, and pull the lever when everyone is ready. The fight is up to 5 players.21
- 2Stage 1 — Rateye Ric and the gate. Your aim is to destroy the Weak Spot, the gate in the north of the room. Drag the Rum Barrel next to it and let the barrel die there. The barrel and the gate take real damage only from life drain, which the Pirat Artillerists in the room produce.21
- 3The barrel can also be killed by a summon, such as a Demon Skeleton, or by leading Rateye Ric into it. The gate falls after the barrel hits it twice.1
- 4Meanwhile fight Rateye Ric and the Elite Pirats; the knight should challenge them, but Ric attacks from a distance. Stay away from the Smelly Cheeses — they hurt anyone near them.21
- 5Fast but dangerous: everyone stands at the gate while one player pushes the barrel, so a single barrel is enough. Safer: spread out — two east, two west, the blocker in the middle — and expect to push two barrels. Life drain protection, such as a Necklace of the Deep, helps either way.21
- 6Stage 2 — Mister Catkiller. Go north to the ship. This stage lasts about 30 seconds: attack him until a ladder to the upper deck appears, and keep clear of Elite Pirats and Smelly Cheeses.21
- 7Stage 3 — 1st Mate Ratticus. Climb to the main deck and attack him until he vanishes. The final stage then starts.21
- 8Stage 4 — Ratmiral Blackwhiskers. His only special mechanic is the fire waves. Use the Bath Tub in the north-west to get 6 water charges that block fire damage. Ratmiral cannot be near the tub when you use it, so the knight pulls him east, and the players dash back to recharge when needed.21
- 9At 50% of his health, every miniboss returns. Kill a few of them quickly if you can, to make the fight safer, but the Ratmiral is still the target. Smelly Cheeses, Elite Pirats and the Artillerists’ life drain are all still active.21
- 10Afterward, go back to Tik’hi Tak’he and say `hi`, `mission` to get the basic Rascoohan outfit. Every later kill also gives 100 trust points.21
The Trekkie’s Journey and the treasure
A 10-minute raft trip for up to 5 players, run by Captain Coohan. It is the last step of Hidden Treasure and also pays 200 trust points.
- 1You need the Hidden Treasure rhyme complete (Queso done) and a Cheesy Key in your backpack. In Rascacoon, enter the teleport in the north of the island and pull the lever; you and your team are taken to Captain Coohan’s raft.21
- 2The raft has a health number under your name; if it reaches zero you fail. During the 10 minutes, the captain shouts each danger in capital letters, and the same dangers repeat, so take turns.21
- 3Gusts of Wind — lure them over the Wind Catcher grille by the mast; each one caught adds raft health. Magic Walls and Wild Growths north and south of the grille make this easier.21
- 4Trash and reefs — floating debris approaches from the west. Fire the cannons on the raft at it. They are not automatic, so keep someone on the west side the whole trip.21
- 5Angry Elementals — they do not damage the raft. Bunch them up and kill them with energy or death damage, which most of them are weak to.21
- 6Quara Saboteurs — they go for the supply crates. The knight should use Challenge (Exeta Res) at once to pull them off the crates, then everyone kills them fast. Energy Bomb Runes do not help.21
- 7Mean Termites — they chew the raft. Kill them quickly, especially those near the mast. Fire bombs spread over the raft help, because they run away from you.21
- 8Sea Serpent — it swims alongside and sends waves. You cannot attack it: dodge the waves, and use Magic Walls to protect the supply crates.21
- 9On arrival, walk through the skull portal to the chests. The first chest gives one random item: a Giant Sapphire, Giant Shimmering Pearl, Tiara or White Gem.1
- 10Use the second chest with the Cheesy Key in your backpack. It gives the figurine for your vocation and a new familiar. Leave through the vortex, then click the left tip of the boat in the north to return to Rascacoon.21
Boss mechanics
Tentugly’s Head
- Up to 5 players, with 8 minutes from the lever pull. Reached through the south-east ship teleporter and Captain Jack Rat.21
- Servants of Tentugly spawn around the ship. They are weak: ignore them or clear them, and focus the Head until it retreats.21
- When the Head retreats, tentacles grab the ship on both decks. Each tentacle has one health bar per tile it occupies; a killed tile pulls it back one square. Clear the lower deck, then the upper deck by the south-east stairs.21
- Don’t stand where a tentacle is already poking out — more will spawn there, and the game throws you out of the fight if you are in the way.2
- First kill only: Krakoloss mount, Release the Kraken achievement and the Cheesy Key.21
Ratmiral Blackwhiskers
- Four stages, up to 5 players: Rateye Ric (and the gate), Mister Catkiller, 1st Mate Ratticus, then the Ratmiral. Each miniboss vanishes before it can be killed and comes back to help the Ratmiral at 50% health.21
- Stage 1: bring the Rum Barrel next to the north gate and let it die there. The gate falls after two barrel hits. Avoid the Smelly Cheeses; use a single barrel for a fast, risky run or spread out with two barrels for a safer one.21
- Stage 2 and 3: short. Catkiller lasts about 30 seconds and ends with a ladder; Ratticus vanishes soon after you start hitting him.21
- Fire waves: use the Bath Tub in the north-west for 6 charges of fire protection. The knight must keep the boss away from the tub, so lure it east and let the others recharge in turn.21
- Life drain from the Pirat Artillerists runs through the whole fight. A Necklace of the Deep and other life drain protection are strongly recommended.2
- Gives the basic Rascoohan outfit on the first kill, plus 100 trust points every time. The outfit addons come from the Rascoohan Outfits Quest, with the Soap and Scrubbing Brush this boss drops.21
Rewards
- Access to Rascacoon, the Exotic Cave and The Wreckoning.21
- The Krakoloss mount and the achievement Release the Kraken, from Tentugly’s Head.21
- The basic Rascoohan outfit (male and female) from Tik’hi Tak’he after Ratmiral Blackwhiskers. Addons 1 and 2 come from the separate Rascoohan Outfits Quest.21
- A familiar and its figurine, by vocation: Mossmasher (druid), Snowbash (knight), Sandscourge (paladin), Bladespark (sorcerer), Moonhunter (monk).21
- The achievement Pied Piper for killing 1,000 Pirats for Eustacio.21
- Ongoing: Ratmiral Blackwhiskers is repeatable for 100 trust points a kill, the island missions repeat on their cooldowns, and The Wreckoning is a hunting area — a Pirat Mate gives 2,400 exp, a Cutthroat 1,800, a Bombardier 1,700, a Scoundrel 1,600.237
